Our Asian Bodywork Services
Shiatsu
Japanese Massage Technique
Shiatsu is a traditional Japanese form of acupressure massage typically offered on a soft floor mat. This treatment works with the physical, as well as energetic, needs of the body through rhythmic pressure and stretching. This is a fully clothed massage, providing a deeper element of comfort and warmth for relaxation. Cupping therapy may also be included if desired.

Offered by Erica, Julia and Kaya.
Amma Therapy
Chinese Massage Technique
Amma therapy is one of the oldest forms of massage to come out of Asia. The practitioner uses circular digital and circular thumb pressure to help relax muscles. This style of massage follows the primary meridians of the body and may also include cupping and other therapies to help restore balance. Benefits include increased relaxation; enhanced mood; better circulation; reduced tension and pain; decreased stress and anxiety, and better digestion.

Thai Massage
_
Thai massage is a comprehensive therapy involving the application of stretching, pressure along energy channels, and joint passive range of motion. The practitioner uses their palms, fingers, forearms, thumbs, elbows, knees and feet to perform the techniques typically on a soft mat on the floor. The traditional name for Thai massage is Nuad Bo’Rarn, which means Thai Medical Massage. Because of the many yoga-like movements and fluidity of treatment, it is sometimes referred to as ”Thai yoga massage". It is performed without any oils or lubricants and clients wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes to allow for stretching. The effect can be relaxing and grounding as well as energizing.
